Books: The Art of Boris Vallejo

This German book is a cut-down version of Dreams. The title page says The Dreams of Boris Vallejo but on the cover and spine it is proclaimed as The Art of Boris Vallejo. It was originally published as book #4 in the Art Fantastix series in 1999 then later republished in 2002 as book #3 in the Art Fantastix Platinum series.

Not only does the book have fewer artworks than its predecessor, it also has a different format: The paintings are mostly presented as stand-alone full page images, whilst Nigel Suckling's captions (translated into German) have been moved to the back of the book. Like Dreams, the titles/captions of 'Red Demons' and 'Alpn' are still transposed so I have corrected that here.

As can be seen, the hardback and paperback versions of the book have different covers. Another difference is that one of the missing paintings (Cancer, the Crab) appears on the back cover of the paperback but is not reproduced anywhere in the hardback version.
